The Mercedes-AMG Project One is set to become an era defining hypercar when it makes it to full production. Powered by a fettled version of Merc’s V6 hybrid Formula 1 engine, the engineering in this car will be far past that of any other road car ever.
And according to Nico Rosberg’s Instagram, there’s one chilling on the streets of Monaco.
I’d be surprised if Rosberg hasn’t been involved in the development of the F1-inspired hypercar, leading to this image possibly being legitimate.
But take a look closely at the rear of the car and especially the open door and the post somewhat starts to lose a bit of credibility.
There’s definite blurring in the door area and there’s something slightly photoshoppy about the way the car is sitting.
This picture also shows it to be in Casino Square, a popular area of Monaco that the car would almost certainly be mobbed in.
So has Rosberg got one of his team to quickly photoshop the car into this picture to go with his new ‘lifestyle’ vibe? Or is this really a Project One sitting in the street and just looking a bit weird?
We can’t wait to see this ridiculous hypercar take to the streets once it has been fully developed but is this Instagram a bit too soon and a bit too good be true?
